Flitterbugs!

This year, inspired by a new friend (thanks Julie), we are going to try to purchase as many of our holiday gifts as possible from other Potential Adoptive Couples who are trying to raise money for their adoptions through various fundraisers. We all know that adoption is a heart-wrenching, soul searching and EXPENSIVE process. I am going to try to showcase these awesome individuals as I stumble across them... Please if you feel prompted, purchase something to help them get a little closer to attaining their dreams...

About Flitterbugs:
Flitterbugs by Julie started when Julie and her husband Ken realized that all that stands between them and their adopted child from Ethiopia is 22,000+ dollars. An astronomical sum of money isn't it? To help defray the costs of adoption Julie started Flitterbugs. She sews adorable dresses for little girls in such cute and fun patterns. She even does nightgowns! Ohhh...and you know I'm a fan...because she even does Made To Match Hairbows! I'm in!
Click on any picture or click here to visit her website!

This dress is probably one of my favorites:

So! Hop on over to Flitterbugs by clicking here or on any photo!

I've also added a link under "Adoption Gifts" in the left-hand column!

What an awesome idea! I really should get something going in the fundraiser department.
Check out these websites that I know of.

Meka adopted her little girl in February, but they are still trying to raise money for court costs. She makes cute bows, flowers, and other things for babies and she has incredible, unbeatable prices.

Mrs. R (http://therhouse.blogspot.com) is in the process of adopting a cute little boy who just turned one. Unfortunately, it has become a huge court battle with the birth father. They've been months now in the court system and their costs are huge. She just started an etsy shop to sell adoption related stuff. She has some cute necklaces right now and plans to add more items in the near future. You can check out her store at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6452621&page=1&section_id=&order=
