The Harry Potter House

So, as many of you already know, the reason we left for Missouri was to buy our first home! We spent only 1 day looking, and we immediately fell in love with what we have affectionately dubbed "The Harry Potter House" due to its cute little closet under the stairs. Here are some pictures of our new abode!

The front. The bushes are going nuts and taking over.

The best part...the back patio, with a view that looks over all 4 acres of the gorgeous yard.
James tromping through the backyard. Yes, that is a pond back there.
A beautiful lilac bush growing on the back side of the house.
It was covered in butterflies!
Isn't this yard just to die for?
More kitchen...the owners ran away with the stove...weird.
The formal dining room has a built in cabinet. Very pretty.
The hallway...notice the hideous carpet...this will need to go.
Bedroom #1 and probably Kayley's is the closest to the master and has pretty cute kitty paper trim.
Bedroom #2 - very purple.
Bedroom #3 - Needs painted.
Bathroom #1
The formal and only living room... very huge! And full of ugly carpet.
Very ugly carpet. Navy with big pink flowers. Blech!
The loft.
Up to the loft, from the living room.
Gorgeous wood, arched ceilings in the entryway.
The Harry Potter room.
Master Bedroom (and bedroom #4). More ugly carpet. Looks like a movie theater to me.
Master Bath (and bath #2). Much smaller than I'd like, but it's not like I spend a whole lot of time in the bathroom anyway. The shower is to the back can't see it around the corner. And the sink is to the back right.
View from the loft.
Entryway to the big bonus room.

the bonus room.
storage off of the bonus room in the unfinished attic space.
Also upstairs in the 1/2 story is a full guest or mother-in-law suite complete with bathroom #3.
and bedroom #5.
done in hideous pink and pinker.
And....that is our beautiful new house! Some paint and new carpet and it will be perfect!

That is ugly carpet. I think they bought used carpet from a movie theater or a hotel. It would give me a headache!
What a beautiful home, I am so jealous!

Cool house! You guys must be rich -- is your husband a doctor or something?! Seriously, the house is great! It's so nice to finally be in your very own home! You have so much room, can we come visit?

Stephanie, that home is just gorgeous (okay, maybe the carpet needs to be...updated). What a lovely place for Kayley to play and grow! You must be so excited. I am so very happy for you and your family!
