The Sugar Bowl

To celebrate our anniversary tonight we decided to go to the Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale. Sugar Bowl is a long-time tradition in Scottsdale. Bil Keane, Cartoonist/Originator of the Family Circus comics you see in the Sunday Paper is a long time resident of the area and the ice cream shop seen in his comic strip is the Sugar Bowl.

To see some of Bil Keane's Sugar Bowl comics click here.

The Sugar Bowl has several original Bil Keane comics hanging throughout the restaurant.

They also have the best ice cream sundae's found ANYWHERE....

No special trip is complete without the necessary Buckner Family Self-Portrait...

Kayley is a good photographer...

My ice cream...the Top Hat Sunday.
Yes...that is a big cream puff....filled with ice cream....topped with hot fudge....
Very very very gooooood....(very very bad for the waistline - ack!!)

James got the DesireMe Banana Split...

Kayley got whatever she wanted, scooped into an extra dish...
